Growing up in Sioux Falls, Rochelle Rindels, MSN, RN, QCP, found herself at Good Samaritan Society – Luther Manor quite a bit as a child.
“I remember performing some Christmas programs and ballet recitals for the residents in the center,” Rochelle, Society vice president of nursing and clinical services, says.
Rochelle’s mom, Nancy Van Dam, RN, spent nearly 40 years as a nurse at Luther Manor.
“I grew up personally with Good Sam,” Rochelle says. “We would eat lunch on the weekends that she worked. I volunteered in the center several times.”
Nancy retired in 2017. If she would’ve waited a few years, her daughter would have been her boss.
